VASCULAZ is used for vascular lesions including

Treatment schedule:

• The number of treatments is typically varied from 1-3sessions every 4-8 weeks, occasionally up to 5sessions.
• Larger, deeper veins typically require more treatmentsand longer time intervals between sessions.
• Angiogenesis of sprouting new capillaries may beavoided if intervals do not exceed 8-10 weeks.
• Touch-up treatment session may be needed occasionally.

Contraindications

• General medical contraindications – e.g. concurrent severe disease
• Diseases stimulated by light
• Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
• Non-controlled Diabetes
• Coagulopathies
• Medications which cause sensitivity to light
• Saphenous insufficiency
• Varicosity
• Upper eyelids and lips

Pretreatment

• Avoid any tanning type 3-4 weeks prior treatment, or use at least 30 SPF sun block.
• Avoid irritant topical agents for 2-3 days before treatment.
• Avoid anticoagulants for 7-10 days prior to treatment, if medically permitted.
• Shave hair and remove shaved hair and ensure that skin is clean

Posttreatment

• Cold compresses or air cooling
• Soothing preparation such as Aloe-Vera or post laser product
• Steroid preparation may be used to decrease epidermal reaction
• Avoid harsh rubbing of treated area, hot bath and aerobic exercise for 24 hours
• Makeup may be applied if skin is intact
• In case of blistering or crusting apply antibiotic ointment
• Avoid sun exposure for 3-4 weeks following treatment and apply sunscreen during course of treatment
